Why men Are Paid More In Sports?

The market argument is often used to defend paying wonen less than men. On average, there is simple less marjet and public interest for female sports. In other words, they tend to generate much less money. That's a statistical fact in most sports.
We see frequent explanations of why gender pay gap in sports exists, and why it is so large: Men's sport receive more media coverage, television licences and sponsorship deals, which contribute to higher revenue. Men's sport generate higher revenue, so male athletes are paid higher salaries.
Differences in pay are caused by occupational segregation (with more men in higher paid industries and women in lower paid industries), vertical segregation (fewer women in senior, and hence better paying positions), ineffective equal pay legislation, women's overall paid working hours, and barries of entery to the market.
